Description
The course aims at giving an insight for the students into the nature of major social phenomena by demonstrating their main characteristics and their key interpretations in social sciences through the standard as well as the most up-to-date frameworks, methods and results with a clear and distinct focus on present European urbanised societies.

Re-sit possibilities
One of the two tests may be re-written at the end of the semester. The sum of the points of the two tests will form the base of the final grade.

Course requirements
Two tests written during semester, each lasts sixty minutes and covers the material previously non-assessed – that is, Week 1 to 5 for Test 1, Week 8 to 13 for Test 2 exclusively.
