A jegy a fent felsorolt feladatok alapján áll össze, s ezek mindegyike szükséges a kurzus sikeres abszolválásához. A kurzus írásos vizsgával zárul, egészen pontosan egy házi dolgozattal, ami egy 30 000 leütés terjedelmű dolgozat a félév során az oktatóval egyeztetett témában (a dolgozat kapcsolódhat a terepmunkához, de lehetséges opció ettől eltérő, a kurzus tematikájába illeszkedő téma kifejtése is). A dolgozathoz min. három, a kurzushoz kapcsolódó szakirodalmat (könyvfejezetet, folyóiratcikket) fel kell használni - természetesen ezek mellett lehet, sőt ajánlott további kapcsolódó szakirodalmat önállóan felkutatni. A vizsgadolgozat témájának egyeztetése az oktatóval 2019. április 23-ig kell, hogy megtörténjen. A vizsgaművel szembeni formai és tartalmi követelményeket a tanszéki honlapról letölthető Útmutató a Szociológia és Kommunikáció Tanszék kurzusainak és képzéseinek követelményeként benyújtandó vizsgadolgozatok elkészítéséhez című segédlet tartalmazza. A kurzushoz min. három meghirdetett vizsgaalkalom tartozik; a vizsgajegy javítására ezeknek megfelelően lehetőség van javított/módosított dolgozat beadásával.
